Lately i’ve been reading a lot about China. My previous knowledge of the country was limited to the Far East studies course i took my senior year at BYUI so basically i knew nothing! and i’ll be honest i never really cared to know anything about it either but all of that has changed. I’ve been reading a book called Chinese Lessons written by a guy who lived in China as a foreign exchange student in 1982, then was there to witness the Tienanmen Square demonstrations in 89 and then in the early 1990’s. The book is fascinating and has really made me appreciate the struggles people endure to become free. anyways i picked up my one random fact while reading the book today.
